Optotune

At the evening of day two of Photonics West in San Francisco, the innovators of the photonics community gathered at the Prism Award gala dinner, which was hosted by SPIE and Photonics Media. Optotune was nominated in the category Optics & Optical Components with the Laser Speckle Reducer, which launched one year ago, in San Francisco.

Despite competing against two great innovations (TLC lenses of Haas Laser Technologies and emPower! electroactive eyeglasses of PixelOptics), the jury voted for Optotune's LSR! We perceive this as a positive sign that laser projection is on the breakthrough and we are happy to be able to provide an enabling technology to bring laser projection to mass markets. Furthermore, we are delighted that this recognition went to one of the first products based in world based on electroactive polymers.
