| Optotune wins Venture 2008 |

After being awarded for our business idea in January, Optotune has won the final phase of Venture 2008, Switzerland's most renowned business plan competition. With this achievement, Optotune has not only acquired CHF 60'000 in prize money, but can be proud to be distinguished among a group of very promising start-ups. Since the launch of the Venture competition in 1998, there were 80 finalists who founded 45 companies of which 42 are still operative today! This success rate of over 90% speaks for the judgement of the carefully selected jury. This year 125 jurors evaluated 101 business plans and nominated Optotune among the top 5. This gave us the opportunity to present in front of a top-class advisory board comprising of 15 highly experienced Swiss executives, who decided on the final ranking. The Venture competition takes place every two years and is organized by ETH Zurich and McKinsey Switzerland.
